Review of the international scientific and practical seminar “‘Moscow — Third Rome’: the formula for peace and unity before and after 1917” (October 17–18, 2017)
Abstract
From 17 to 18 October 2017, an academic seminar entitled "Moscow - Third Rome": a formula for peace and unity before and after 1917" was held at the Moscow Theological Academy as part of the annual Pokrovsky Academic Conference. As Pierangelo Catalano, Professor Emeritus of Roman Law at La Sapienza University of Rome, noted in his welcome address, Rome, Constantinople - New Rome and Moscow - Third Rome form the subject matter of the international seminars of historical research "From Rome to the Third Rome", as they are formally defined realities in the light of the interdisciplinary method of research in which legal and historical-religious aspects intersect.
