Abstract

For the first time for the Russian-speaking reader, a translation from Syrian is made of the epistle concerning the various actions of grace by Joseph Hazzaya an East Syrian mystic and theologian of the VIII century. In the preface to the translation, the A. considers the handwritten tradition of the Syrian text of the epistle and the existing translations into modern European languages.
