The mystery of life

The article is a philosophical essay in which the A. makes an excursion into the history of the solution of the question of the meaning of life. The natural-scientific views, philosophical views of different epochs on this issue are given, the secular approach and the Christian understanding of the meaning of human life are compared. The A. shows that only Christianity can provide a true explanation of the meaning of life, and, proceeding from Orthodox positions, concludes that one can become attached to eternal life even under earthly existence and live it in conditions of time.
