The year 2020 marks the 210th anniversary of the death of Dosiphea, a monastic starets in the Moscow Ivanovo Monastery, who was in spiritual communion with the renowned archpriests of the Novospassky Monastery, Philaret (Pulyashkin) and Alexander (Podgorchenkov). As their spiritual mentor, the starets of Ivanovo were venerated by the Monk Moses of Optina, Abbot of the Optina Hermitage, and his brother, Abbot Isaiah (Putilov), Abbot of the Sarov Hermitage. The Venerable Monk Moses of Optina wrote: "The spiritually wise old woman of blessed memory, Dosife served as a guide to my choice of the path of monastic life". A scientific conference was held at Ivanovo Monastery to mark the anniversary of the saint's repose. The materials of the conference were compiled into a collection entitled "The Canonical Nun Dosife of the Moscow Ivanovo Monastery: On the 210th Anniversary of Her Repose".
