The present note is devoted to the pericope in Mark’s Gospel, which narrates the cleansing of a leper. Although Mark does not state where the healing took place, the pecularity of his description - the use of composita with the pre x ἐκ(ἐξ-), (ἐκβάλλω and ἐξέρχομαι) - hints at the idea of a healing within a closed space or a fenced-in territory. I suggest that this closed space was the town synagogue, since synagogues are mentioned just before the story of this healing.
