A Chronicle of the Scholarly Life at the Academy during 2006–2007: Record of Postdoctoral Debate and Reviews on the PhD Theses

Abstract

The report of the Secretary of the Academic Council, Archpriest Pavel Velikanov, on the defence of candidate theses and diploma works that took place. During the reporting period, four defence of theses and dissertations of graduates of the Academy and Seminary were held. On September 25, 2006, Archpriest Nikolay Balashov successfully defended his master's thesis. On 31 October, the penultimate defence of the old-style PhD theses was held. The defence was given by graduates of both the full-time and distance learning departments of the Academy.
