The article discusses the features of the image of Saint prince Alexander Nevsky in the famous film of the Soviet era — «Alexander Nevsky» by Sergei Eisenstein. The main features of the on-screen image of the prince are highlighted. The conclusion is made about a deliberately secularized representation of Alexander Nevsky, which is explained by the era of the creation of the picture. The importance of this image for mobilization rhetoric during the Great Patriotic War is shown.
