Abstract

To understand sectarian psychology, the autobiographies of sectarian leaders provide abundant material. How did these leaders live their lives in Orthodoxy? How did they believe and what did they believe to be the essence of the Christian life? How and why did doubts about their faith begin in them? Where, finally, did they come to in their religious quest? Unfortunately, sectarian autobiographies do not always give answers to these questions with complete sincerity. Therefore they must be treated with a critical eye.
