A Word on Stt. Peter and Paul Day

Abstract

"<...> With what crowns of praise shall we bind Peter and Paul? <...> With what hymns of praise shall we sing of Peter and Paul? <...> With what spiritual songs shall we praise Peter and Paul?" Thus exclaims the Holy Church, wishing to say that whatever crowns may be added to the heads of the holy apostles Peter and Paul, whatever virtues may be ascribed to the teachers of the universe, whatever songs may be composed in praise of them - all this will not suffice to represent in full the marvelous greatness of those, who through their teaching enlightened the whole world and brought all the ends of the universe to Christ.
