A Speech Delivered on the Graduation Ceremony (11.6.2010)
Abstract
It was only yesterday that we, today's seminary graduates, filled this hall with eager excitement to hear our names on the admission list, but today our hearts sink with even greater trembling as we realize the great responsibility of church ministry. There is a special note in the name of our school "spiritual." The Holy Spirit abundantly irrigates the threshing field of church studies, feeds the thirsty souls of the students, and enlightens the holy altar of our almae matris. Even in the ancient Pythagorean school there was the motto: "The student is not a vessel to be filled, but a torch to be lit. "2 But who can light it? Is it not only he who possesses or is the flame himself! It is encouraging that many of our mentors and teachers were like these flaming torches who were able to ignite us too.
