A Speech before Starting the 2010/11 Academic Year

Abstract

Dear teachers and students, fathers, brothers and sisters! Often people set themselves certain goals, which they strive to fulfil. One aspires to wealth, another to honour, another to a career. But things can happen in our lives that will cause all of our plans to fail. Especially when these events occur unexpectedly, their outcome is unpredictable and often miserable. But there are events that are logical and predictable. Orthodox Christians long to beg for things that, if they do happen to them, happen not because of their merit, but because of God's mercy.
