A Sermon in Memoriam of Fr Innocent (Prosvirnin)

Abstract

On a Thursday, July 14, 1994, a weekday (commemoration of the holy Hierarchs Cosmas and Damian), the Novospassky Stauropegial Monastery in Moscow was unusually crowded. So crowded, as it happens here only on major church holidays. On that bright sunny day, the martyr monastery, the confessor monastery, received into its land the light remains of another martyr, confessor: the monastery for the first time since its opening in 1991 performed the funeral rite - it buried one of its brothers, Archimandrite Innocent, a man of pure soul, high and creative talents.
