Abstract

"Take care of the buildings of the colleges, but take more care of their internal organisation...". Thus wrote in January 1833, at the dawn of his saintly ministry, Metropolitan of Moscow Philaret (Drozdov), congratulating the Most Reverend Gavriel of Tver on his "elevation to the rank of Archbishop" (that is, the rank of Archbishop).
