Based on the memories of Elias' own father and his letters from imprisonment, the A. reveals the main spiritual qualities of the martyr, shows his spiritual growth and deepening faith in the difficult conditions of the Soviet concentration camp. So before the eyes of the reader stands a true spiritual portrait of the martyr Ilias.
