Review of the conference “Relevant issues of studying the Christian heritage of the East” (November 14, 2017)

Abstract

On 14 November 2017, the Moscow Theological Academy hosted a conference dedicated to the study of the Christian heritage of the Middle East, as well as the Transcaucasus - those territories where great Oriental literatures have existed and still exist. The conference was organised by the MDA's Orientalism Cabinet, founded at the end of 2015 to consolidate the efforts of professors and students of the Academy in the study of the Christian heritage of the East, especially the theological and historiographical components of this rich literary tradition.
