Review of the second ingernational conference “Relevant issues of studying the Christian heritage of the East”

Abstract

In November 2018, the Moscow Theological Academy hosted the Second International Conference "Current Issues in the Study of the Christian Heritage of the East", which brought together researchers whose scholarly interests are in one way or another directed towards the historical fate and present situation of Christianity in the Middle East and Transcaucasus. The topics of the papers covered a wide range of questions. However, most of the reports in the plenary session and two sections discussed the problems of Christian tradition (not only tradition as an expression of the teaching of the Church) in the great literatures of the East.
