Three Views on the Past and Future of Russia — Westerning, Eurasianism, Soilism

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the historical and socio-cultural speci cs of Russia as a local civilization. The paper analyzes the socio-cultural structure of the Russian civilization, highlights its segments such as «socio-cultural core», «inner east», «inner west», highlights such areas of social thought as «Westernism», «Eurasianism» and «Soilism». It is also shown that the speci ed structure of the Russian civilization is due to the speci cs of its historical path. In the nal part of the work, on the example of the polemics of N. A. Berdyaev and L. P. Karsavin, the differences in the views on Russian history of representatives of these trends are analyzed.
