This issue contains 19 articles on a wide variety of topics:   biblical studies, theology and philosophy, comparative theology, patrology and Christian literature, the history of the local Orthodox Churches, history of the Russian Orthodox Church, sectology and hagiography.   In this issue:   Archpriest Boris Timofeev in his article "Some Aspects of the Interpretation of Old Testament Prophecies in the New Testament: the View of Theodore of Mopsuestia" draws attention to the fact that the New Testament interpretation of Old Testament prophecies became the methodological basis for Christian exegesis of Old Testament texts, and traditionally the authority of Christ and the Apostles always remained inviolable for interpreters. However, at the end of the 4th century, a new rational approach to the analysis and evaluation of the New Testament interpretations of the prophetic texts appeared in the Antiochian exegetical tradition (in the Alexandrian school, due to the specificity of the allegorical method, this could not happen). Theodore of Mopsuestia subjected the exegesis of the New Testament authors and church tradition to revision. In his works, he acutely raised the question of the conformity of New Testament interpretation to the context of the prophetic books. As a result, the exegete raised a set of problems that even in our time remain relevant for modern biblical scholarship and patrology.   Priest Dmitry Baritsky in his article "The Place of Narrative Analysis in the Context of Biblical Studies" offers an overview of modern scientific methods in the context of biblical studies, focuses on the literary approach to the text of Holy Scripture and, first of all, on such a variety of it as narrative analysis. The author attempts to classify approaches to the biblical text based on R. Jacobson's communicative model. On the axis of representation of this model there are historical methods, and on the axis of communication there are literary methods. In turn, the basic elements of the communicative triad: "author", "text", "reader" help to differentiate literary approaches. Given the researchers' focus on one or another component, there are objective (structuralism) and pragmatic (rhetorical analysis and criticism of reader response) approaches. Due to its methodological principles, narrative analysis occupies a middle ground between these approaches: given its interest in the narrative structures of the text, we can consider narrative analysis an objective method; and given its interest in the image of the implied reader, a pragmatic method.
