Peculiarities of Following the Cyrillo-Methodian Tradition in Translating of Liturgical Texts from Greek into Church Slavonic in the 21st Century

The article formulates the principles of the Cyrillo-Methodian translation tradition, observed in the Slavic Orthodox world, starting from the first works of the holy first teachers and their disciples. For modern translators from Greek into Church Slavonic the necessity to stick to this tradition is affirmed. Such attempt to comply with traditional translation methods and techniques is illustrated by the example of the modern translation of the service to St. Paisius of Mount Athos.
