The article describes the correspondence of the abbot of the Nikolo-Ugresh monastery, Hegumen Ilarius, with St. Ignatius (Bryanchaninov). These letters stored in the department of manuscripts of the Russian State Library are valuable, first of all, because they contain valuable information on the history of the monastery. The appendix contains 9 letters from Abbot Hilary and 1 letter from St. Ignatius.
