Thomas Schreiner's Handbook of the Acts and Epistles of St. Peter the Great. St. Paul's Book occupies a place, if at all possible, between a typical Introduction to the New Testament and an exegetical commentary. It is the first part of a series of three volumes covering the entire New Testament canon. The editor of the series, Benjamin Gladd, intends to present in all volumes of the series "a brief overview of each passage from the New Testament, without getting bogged down in detailed interpretation," while paying "special attention to allusions and quotations from the Old Testament."… Each volume contains theological and pastoral information" (pp. ix–x).
