Abstract

This review presents a brief description of the new unique master's program of the
Moscow Theological Academy in the profile of Modern Canon Law, which was opened by the decision
of the Holy Synod on July 17, 2020. The program is aimed at training specialists in the field of
church legislation, church institutions, inter-Orthodox relations, legislation on the freedom of conscience
of states of the canonical territory of the Russian Orthodox Church, as well as in the field
of international legal mechanisms for the protection of religious freedoms. Enrollment for the This
review presents a brief description of the new unique master's program of the Moscow Theological
Academy in the profile of Modern Canon Law, which was opened by the decision of the Holy Synod

on July 17, 2020. The program is aimed at training specialists in the field of church legislation,
church institutions, inter-Orthodox relations, legislation on the freedom of conscience of states of
the canonical territory of the Russian Orthodox Church, as well as in the field of international legal

for the 2021/2022 academic year.
