Abstract

The new monograph of the professor of the St.
Academy of Andrei Yuryevich Mitrofanov opens practically
images of thinkers unknown to the Russian-speaking reader,
wwii and canonists of the XI-XII centuries: the representative of Western thought Anselm
Lucca and Nerses Lampronsky, an Armenian theologian. Partly known
the patriarch of Antioch Theodore Balsamon, whom the reader is familiar with,
stands in a new light.
