Protection of morality as a basis for limiting human rights

Abstract

Law cannot be morally neutral. The right always protects the prevailing ideas
about what is due and what is not necessary. In this context, the possibility of limiting human
rights for moral reasons is a natural defense of society against the absolutization of individual
choice of behavior. However, the tendencies of the development of “post-Christianity” in Europe
as the dominant trend of a sociopolitical nature, which has universal consequences, leads to the
fact that law as a regulator of social relations is degrading, becoming aggressively relativistic,
protecting arbitrariness rather than freedom. The legal framework of the study is limited to
international legal norms at the universal level, including official interpretations relating to the
International Bill of Human Rights, on the protection of human rights and morality. The article
