Abstract

The article contains a review of the Russian translation of the biography of the German lawyer and philosopher of law C. Schmitt, the author of the concept of “political theology”. This major authority in the field of jurisprudence of the XX century put law before a moral choice — serving any law or leaving the legal field when its rules are destroyed. The significance of Schmitt's ideas for law and philosophy today, especially for practical theology, is shown.
