Abstract

The article examines the process of “conciliar legitimation”, that is, legitimizing the granting of independence by the Mother Church through sanctioning on behalf of the hierarchy, clergy, people and government. This process is studied using the example of the Romanian Church in the 19th century based on the works of Kazan canonists.
