Eschatology as Political (To the Release of the Russian Translation of the Monograph by J. Taubes)

Abstract

Political theology is a scientific field within the competence of practical theology. At the same time, it is difficult to speak of political theology as a definitively established methodology, goal-setting, or even a simple scientific consensus on its principal components. An illustration of such an unfrozen form of political theology is the publication of the Russian translation of J. Taubes' classic monograph "Western Eschatology", the context of the appearance of which is the subject of this article.
