В Издательстве МДА вышел первый номер нового научного журнала «Вестник церковного искусства и археологии»

18 June 2019. 18:10   "Bulletin of Church Art and Archeology Review" is a scientific journal of the Moscow Theological Academy, dedicated to the art of the Orthodox Church, which publishes research corresponding to the specialties of VAK: 17.00.04 (Fine and decorative and applied arts), 07.00.06 (Archaeology).   The aim of the journal is to cover church art from antiquity to the present day as a complex of phenomena of Christian art life, accompanying the life of the church and the Christian in everyday life.   Particular attention is paid to monuments and collections of the Moscow Theological Academy Museum "Church Archaeological Study" and collections of other church museums. The magazine examines the art of Orthodox manuscripts and printed books, as well as a whole range of issues related to the art of Christian graphic art, both printed and original. A special section is devoted to arts and crafts, covering the problems of restoration, new events and phenomena in church art.   All materials of the journal are peer-reviewed and indexed in the national bibliographic scientific citation database RSCI.   The history of Christian iconography, the study of church art and architecture, and Christian archaeology are featured in the first issue of the magazine.   The section "Art culture of Orthodoxy" includes an article by Associate Professor O. N. Afinogenova, which explores the history of the identification of the Angel of the Lord with the Archangel Michael and describes the main stage in the formation of the cult of the Archistratigus.   The section "Painting" includes an article by docent N. V. Kvlividze dedicated to researching the iconographic program of the mural painting of the Ceremonial Hall and the Golden Chamber - the throne room of the palace of Ivan the Terrible in the Moscow Kremlin, created in the mid-16th century.   An article by Bogdan Goncharuk, a postgraduate student of the Moscow Academy of Arts and Sciences, examines the composition, iconography and artistic features of the Deesis iconostasis at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in the Sergius Lavra.   The article of the senior researcher of the Sergiev Posad State Historical and Art Museum-Reserve E.Yu. Suvorova focuses on the appearance of new and non-traditional icons of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Russia during the Romanov dynasty.   An article by postgraduate student of the MDA Elena Sirova examines the cultural and spiritual interaction between Ukraine and the West.   Postgraduate student of the MDA Tetyana Denysiuk in her article studies eucharistic themes in the Ukrainian art of the XVII-XVIII centuries.   In "Architecture. Restoration Problems" published an article by postgraduate student of the Moscow Academy of Arts Ekaterina Polishchuk in which she analyzes the features of the first of the scientific restoration of the murals in the Laura of the Holy Trinity Cathedral, conducted in 1949-52.   In an article in the Applied Art section, Professor V.V. Igoshev studies the silver casing of the Gospel from the collection of the State Russian Museum.   The section "Collections of the Museum of the Moscow Theological Academy" includes an article by PhD student Anna Krasnova on Greek religious engravings.   The Contemporary Church Art section includes an article by professor O.R.
