Данная статья посвящена целому клубку связанных друг с другом вопросов, касающихся не лежащих на поверхности и не очевидных для неподготовленного наблюдателя моментов, которые повлияли на многогранное проповедническое служение св. ап. Павла. Какая картина мира была усвоена апостолом язычников в рамках его еврейского воспитания? Какой перечень факторов повлиял на выбор им тех или иных маршрутов? И, в конечном итоге, какие принципиально важные аспекты оказали влияние на формирование и развитие миссионерской стратегии ап. Павла? Достижения таких наук, как география, история, этнография, культурология и социология приходят на помощь библеистам при попытке реконструкции интересных вопросов, связанных с благовестническими трудами ап. Павла. Выводы, к которым приходят исследователи, могут оказаться крайне интересными для русскоговорящего читателя.
