This article is devoted to a whole tangle of interrelated questions concerning the moments that are not on the surface and not obvious to the unprepared observer, which influenced the multifaceted preaching ministry of St. Apostle Paul. What picture of the world was adopted by the Apostle of the Gentiles within the framework of his Jewish upbringing? What list of factors influenced his choice of certain routes? And, ultimately, what fundamentally important aspects influenced the formation and development of Apostle Paul’s missionary strategy? The achievements of such sciences as geography, history, ethnography, cultural studies and sociology come to the aid of biblical scholars in their attempt to reconstruct interesting questions related to the evangelistic works of Apostle Paul. The conclusions that researchers come to may be extremely interesting for the Russian-speaking reader.
