Abstract

A fairly long practice of catechesis, during which the principles and ideals indicated in official church documents and papal encyclicals were partially or completely embodied, allowed the Roman Catholic Church to draw conclusions about how successful catechesis is and what exactly influences its success. This article is based on scientific research by domestic and foreign (Catholic) authors, as well as materials from Catholic media, discussions on forums and websites, etc. The conclusion is made about the factors influencing the effectiveness of long-term catechesis from the point of view of the essential, from the point of view of the organization of the process, the training of catechists, participants in catechesis, etc. The problems of long-term catechesis are highlighted, which are highlighted not only by researchers, but also by practicing catechists of the Roman Catholic Church.
