В статье рассматривается влияние процесс-теологии на формирование открытого теизма. Автор анализирует общие черты и различия между этими богословскими направлениями, отмечая, что открытые теисты (Кларк Пиннок, Ричард Райс, Грегори Бойд, Джон Сандерс, Уильям Хаскер, Дэвид Бейсингер) опираются на процессуальную мысль. Среди общих черт - понимание любви как центрального божественного атрибута, критика классического теизма, отрицание понимания Бога как «чистого акта», идея об открытости будущего. Ключевые различия касаются онтологической самодостаточности Бога, учения о творении мира и понимания божественной власти. Автор приходит к выводу, что открытый теизм, испытав влияние процесс-теологии, остаётся самостоятельным течением.
