Abstract

In January 2017, two PhD dissertation councils began their work at the Moscow Theological Academy with the blessing of His Holiness, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. Dissertation Council #2 is made up of the disciplines of the Departments of Church History, Church Studies, History and Theory of Church Art, and Slavic Philology. During the past year, three PhD theses were successfully defended in the Dissertation Council and approved by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
