Moises Silva's book Interpretation of the Epistle to the Galatians: Studies in Exegetical Method is exactly what its title suggests: a study of exegetical methodology illustrated and applied to the Apostle of the Gentiles' letter to the Galatians. It is not so much an interpretation as such, but rather a kind of instruction on how the exegete should approach this epistle and what questions are important to ask not only of the text itself, but also of the myriad commentaries available. Drawing on various articles written throughout his life, Silva traverses the well-known triad of hermeneutics, history, literature, and theology, discussing central areas and themes in the interpretation of Galatians 1.
