Abstract

From an early age, parents teach their children that touching other people's things is indecent. The more so, reading other people's diaries without the consent of their owners is punished by vigilant relatives. Of course, some children have such a strong urge to explore the forbidden that they are willing to submit to the threat of punishment to satisfy their interest. However, this does not mean that all overly curious children grow up to be rude people. Some of them become decent human beings and even benefit from science.
