Abstract

During the work of the Local Council of the Russian Orthodox Church in 1917–1918, the rank of deacon burial was compiled. The uniqueness of this study lies in the fact that the known data on this sequence are significantly supplemented by material from the case file stored in the State Archive of the Russian Federation. As an addition, information from the book of Archpriest Nikolai Balashov «On the way to liturgical Revival» is given. The appendix contains the draft of the service and the rank of the funeral service in the Coptic Church, which was used in the compilation of the sequence during the work of the Cathedral.
