Conversion of Emperor Constantine the Great to Christianity

Abstract

The article reveals historical evidence of the conversion of Emperor Constantine the Great to Christianity. Based on the testimonies of historians who lived during the time of Emperor Constantine, as well as using later studies of the life and, in particular, the conversion of Constantine the Great to Christianity, the spiritual need of Constantine the Great in search of the true God and His patronage and intercession is investigated, as well as the personality of Emperor Constantine before conversion to Christianity and after conversion to the true God. The actual reality of the events that took place in those years with the Emperor Constantine before the battle with Maxentius is being studied. Various historical opinions of scientists and researchers on the conversion of Emperor Constantine to Christianity are compared. The article analyzes the life of Christians in the Roman Empire after the change in the religious consciousness of Emperor Constantine, his desire for a Christian life, and at the same time the adoption of the Sacrament of Baptism shortly before his death. As well as commitment and reality to those religious goals and ideals that Emperor Constantine found in 312 throughout his life until his death. An attempt to reveal the secret of the spiritual search of Emperor Constantine will be made in this article.
