The scientific journal of the Moscow Theological Academy “Church Historian” is a specialized peer-reviewed periodical of Church history department. Its page presents documents and researches of the teaching staff, as well as of students and postgraduates of the Moscow Theological Academy on the problems of the history of the Ancient Church, Russian Church history, the history of Local Churches and civil history. The published materials may be of interest to lovers of church history, students and graduate students of theological educational institutions, and to all those who is interested in the problem of Church history.

History of the journal
The journal "Ecclesiastical Historian" was founded in 2019 at the Department of Ecclesiastical History of the Moscow Theological Academy by decision of the Academic Council of the MThA. At present, The Ecclesiastical Historian is a scholarly journal in Russia specialising in the field, aiming to present as widely as possible current research in the field of these disciplines. The Editorial Board invites not only students and staff of Russia's oldest institution of higher learning, but also other ecclesiastical schools, Russian and foreign institutions of higher learning.
The journal "Church Historian" is recommended for publication by the Publishing Council of the Russian Orthodox Church ИС Р22-124-0566.
The journal is included in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI).
We will be glad to see on our pages scientific articles by representatives of Russian and foreign theological schools and higher educational institutions.
